The Importance of Good Records

Keeping your own records of any medical care that you and your immediate family have received is the only way to be sure that your insurance and bills are free from mistakes. It may seem unimportant now, but later in life when you try to get life insurance or get treatment that is appropriate for you, the importance will be in the spotlight. Everything from your allergies to your payment records with medical facilities can hurt you if they are wrong in your report. You could be given improper treatment or even denied treatment at all. By keeping your own records, you can dispute anything that is false.

Would you believe that you could be denied a job because of something erroneous on your medical records? It is true; if you are reported to have a disability, whether it is true or not, you could be turned down. You would be labeled as a risk, especially if the company offers insurance; they would know that you are going to cost more money to employ. The same goes for applying for health insurance where your medical records show that you would require prescription drugs, doctor visits, and increased chance of emergencies. It is quite the ordeal if you do in fact have a disability, but imaging if you did not have one at all-you would be turned down for insurance, while also being completely ineligible for disability financial help.

An example of a mistake that could be made on your record would be a diagnosis error. Perhaps you request that your doctor check a suspicious lump in your breast. On the first visit he may suspect that it is cancer. Most people will get a second opinion or go for a more thorough conclusive examination. If the second doctor decides that it is only a cyst and has it removed, your personal records would show that you are cancer-free. However, if this visit was documented incorrectly, or not at all, you may have trouble getting insured and not know why. If you had a record of the second visit that found the cyst, this situation would be easily disputed and your record would be accurate.

Human error is simply a part of life, even on medical documents. It is important to always keep your own records so that insurance companies get accurate information about you and your health condition. If you are being turned down for insurance and do not know why, you are best advised to be sure that you are not being misrepresented within your medical records. This problem can be cleared up quickly and easily if you are responsible enough to keep your own personal records.

Tips For Healthy Eating

Healthy eating is a way of balancing the food you
eat to keep your body in great health.  With healthy
eating, you'll have energy all day, get the vitamins
and minerals you need, stay strong for activities
you enjoy, and maintain a healthy weight.

Below, you'll find tips designed to help you with
healthy eating.

1.  Don't skip any meals
Eating 3 meals with snacks in between is the ideal
way to maintain both energy and a healthy weight.
When you skip meals and get hungry, you're more
than likely to choose foods that aren't very good
for you.

If you are eating away from home, take food with
you or know where you can buy healthy food from.

2.  Learn about how to prepare foods
Instead of deep frying, try grilling, stir frying,
microwaving, baking, and even boiling.  You should
also try fresh or even dried herbs and spices to
add flavor to your food.  Before you eat any type
of meat, be sure to trim the fat and skin off of
it.

3.  Avoid a lot of sugar
Drinks that contain sugar are a major source of
empty energy.  What this means, is that the drinks
contain a lot of energy that your body may not
need, and it doesn't contain any vitamins or
minerals.  If you plan to drink sugary drinks,
don't go overboard - limit yourself to 1 a day.

4.  Avoid thinking about diets
There are no good food nor any bad foods.  All
food can be a part of a healthy diet, when eaten
in moderation.  You don't need to buy any low
carb, fat free, or even diet foods, as these foods
normally have lots of other added ingredients
to replaces the carbohydrates or fat.

Healthy Fat Intake

This information is aimed at helping you to
reduce your fat intake.  The average individual
eats too much fat, a factor that's linked to
a variety of health problems, including cancer.
Diets that are high in fat are associated with
breast and colon cancer, with some studies
linking high fat to prostate cancer as well.

A majority of people can bring their fat intakes
down to a healthy range by making a few adjustments
in the way they shop, cook, and prepare the foods
they eat.

Now days, it's getting easier and easier to control
the amount of fat you consume.  The fat content of
foods are now available through the nutrition label
and through brochures distributed by food companies
and even fast food restaurants.

You can use this information on nutrition to choose
lower fat foods by comparing products and food
brands.  Once you have a rough idea of what a healthy
intake of fat is, you'll know what you can and what
you can't have.

From day to day, the amount of fat you eat will
vary.  Some meals and some days will be higher in
fat than others.  Even high fat meals can be kept
in line with healthy eating as long as you balance
those days accordingly.  The average fat intake over
the course of weeks and months is important, not the
fat intake of every meal and food you consume.

Younger adults and high active adults who have
higher calorie needs can probably eat a little more
fat.  Older adults and those that aren't very active
should aim for a lower fat intake.  This way, you
can control your fat intake and avoid the many
problems that fat is associated with.

Eating Healthy With a Budget.

If you have problems serving healthy foods because
of the prices, you'll find these tips to be just
what you need to eat healthy on a budget.

1.  Eliminate junk food
Doing your shopping on your own is the easiest way
to shop, as children and sometimes spouses are
usually the ones requesting junk food.  Shopping
alone will prevent this, and ensure that you only
buy the foods you need.

2.  Water or milk instead of soft drinks
You can still enjoy your favorite drinks at a
sporting event or night out, although you should
stick with the smallest size when shopping to save
money and calories.  Children and even adults need
milk or milk products on a daily basis.  Milk will
also help you get strong and provides calcium for
healthy bones and healthy teeth.

3.  Buy fruits in quantity
Whne they are in season, buy fruits in quantity
and freeze any extras.  You can buy several pounds
this way, and freeze extras to have them when the
fruit goes out of season.  Wash the fruit well,
remove any spoiled pieces, dry thoroughly, then
freeze in plastic zipper bags.

4.  Meats and beans
Meats and beans are the best sources for protein.
Lean meat is more expensive than meats with a lot
of fat.  Canned beans are a great deal as well,
as they give you protein at a great price.

5.  Beans as a substitute
You should use beans a substitute for meat on a
frequent occasion.  There are several varieties,
so you can prepare them in a crock pot, so when
you return home they are ready to consume.

The USDA recommends eating beans at least 4 times
per week.  If you experience gas after eating
beans you should try washing them, covering them
with water, bringing the water to a boil, then
draining it off and refilling the pot.

6.  If you live in a coastal area or an area
where fish are around, make that an integral
part of your diet.  You can catch them from the
lakes or rivers, saving money in the process.

7.  Peanut butter is great for those on a budget
as it's popular with almost everyone.  You can
use it for sandwiches instead of eating hot
dogs.  It does need to be refrigerated, although
bigger jars can last you for weeks.

8.  You should fill up with foods that have a high
content of water.  Watermelon, salads, and even
sugar free gelatin are all great examples.

Eating healthy is always something you can't go
wrong with.  You can eat healthy for just a few
bucks, which makes it perfect for those on a
budget. Now, you don't need a lot of money to have
the lifestyle and health you've always wanted.

Consuming Healthy For Students

For students, eating at college is a whole new
ball game, with late night pizza delivery and meals
from buggies. Even though some of these quick and
easy options taste great, they are probably
not healthy for the student's body.

The food choices students make can affect regardless of whether
or not they are able to remain awake during course
and whether or not they will come down with
mononucleosis whenever it hits campus. The problem
is not only about eating unhealthy foods, it's more
about not getting the proper proteins, carbs,
nutritional vitamins, and minerals that people need.

When it comes to protecting against illnesses,
vitamins and minerals are very important. Just
since they're important, isn't a reason for
students to run out and fill up on vitamins and
supplements. It's best for students to obtain
nutrition from food.

You can find vitamin C in citric fruit, Vitamin
A in milk and diary products, and vitamin AT THE in
nuts, whole wheat products, and even green leafy
veggies. This is the ideal way to get
nutrition, as the body relies on these vitamins
for many reasons.

When you consume on campus, skip on the soda's and
go right towards the juice machines. Explore the
different entrees available and go towards the salad
bar where there are fresh vegetables. You can
additionally try putting some broccoli and cauliflower
in the microwave with regard to steamed vegetables. There
are always healthy cereals and plenty associated with fresh
fruit available in dining halls as well.

Always keep in mind that eating healthy isn't just
about avoiding greasy foods. Eating wholesome
involves getting a balanced diet and getting the
right nutrients and vitamins to maintain your body
in peak performance - or at least conscious during
your classes.

Cooking with Oils

Everyone knows the foods to eat that improve health,
although how we cook the food can be just as important.
With there being so many oils and butter products
claiming to be the best, it can be quite difficult
to know which ones to use and which ones to avoid.

1.  Canola oil
Canola oil is a popular oil, with many physicians
claiming that it has the ability to lower the risk
of heart disease.  The oil is low in saturated fat,
high in monounsaturated fat, and offers the best
fatty acid composition when compared to other oils.

You can use canola oil in sauting, as a marinade
and even in low temperature stir frying.  It has
a bland flavor, which makes it a great oil for foods
that contain many spices.  Unlike other oils, this
one won't interfere with the taste of your meal.

2.  Olive oil
olive oil offers a very distinct flavor with plenty
of heart healthy ingedients.  The oil is rich in
monounsaturated fat, helps to lower cholesterol
levels and reduce risk of cancer.  It's also rich
in antioxidants and has a very long storage life.

Even though it can be used in cooking, it's the
healthiest when uncooked, such as with a salad or
dipping sauce.  When you use it with cooking, you
should heat it on low to medium temperatures, making
sure to avoid high heat.

3.  Butter
Butter is one food that has been around for many,
many years.  Butter tastes good, and offers sources
of Vitamin A and other fat soluble vitamins such as
E, K, and even D.  Butter is also made from natural
ingredients and not chemically or artificially
processed.

You can use butter with cooking, baking, or even as
a spread.  You can also pair it with creamy sauces,
marinades, baked dishes, or even bread.

4.  Margarine
Margarine was first introduced as an alternative to
high fat butter.  When it was first created however,
it was loaded with trans fat, a substance that we
now know raises bad cholesterol.

As a cooking oil, margarine tastes good, it's lower
in fat than most oils and butter, and it's quite
easy to spread.  It's available in a variety of
different products and a good source of vitamin E.

When it comes to cooking with oils, there are
several at your disposal.  There are many more than
what is mentioned here, although the ones above are
the most popular.  Eating healthy involves cooking
healthy food - which is where your cooking oil really
takes center stage.

Nine Facts About Fiber

If you've been looking for a way towards a high
octane diet, you'll find fiber to be exactly what
you need.  Even though research has shown fiber to
be powerful, many people aren't taking this nutrient
seriously.

To help you fuel your health with fiber, here are
10 facts to help.

1.  Fiber fights diseases.  A diet high in fiber can
help to prevent colon cancer and heart disease.  High
fiber helps the body to eliminate cholesterol by
binding it in the digestive tract.  For thousands of
years, fiber has been used to stop constipation.

2.  Fiber can actually help with overeating.  All high
fiber foods will take longer to chew and digest,
making you feel satisfied longer

3.  Most popular foods don't have enough fiber.  If
you like the more popular foods, you probably need
to increase your intake of fiber.

4.  Grains offer the most fiber.  Dietary fiber is
actually plant matter that we cannot digest.  The best
sources are whole grains and concentrated grain
products.

5.  Kids need fiber as well.  Children that are older
than 2 years of age should consume a daily intake of
fiber.  Kids are most receptive to fiber found in
fruits, vegetables, and even fortified breakfast
cereals.

6.  More fiber needs more water.  In order to keep
fiber moving through your digestive tract, you'll
need to consume a lot of water.  With your diet of
fiber, you'll need eight or more glasses of water
every day.

7.  Fiber cannot be cooked out.  When you cook
your fruits and vegetables, don't worry about cooking
the fiber out, as it stays.  The fiber found in
fruits and vegetables aren't just in the skin or
in the peel.

8.  You can get enough fiber.  If you eat more than
50 grams of fiber in a day, you can get diarrhea
and bloating, which can interfere with your body's
absorption of other key minerals.

9.  Getting the right amount of fiber in your diet
doesn't have to be hard.  Even though you may think
so, getting the amount of fiber you need isn't very
hard to do.  All you have to do is eat the right
foods and you'll be well on your way to a fiber
rich lifestyle.

As one of the key ingredients to healthy eating,
fiber is something you don't want to skip.  Fiber can
serve many different purposes, which were covered
above.  If you aren't getting enough fiber in your
diet - you should do something about now instead
of waiting until it is too late.

12 Effective Home Remedies To Restore Lost Shine

Dry hair refers to hair that lacks moisture. When the oil glands do not provide sufficient oil, one has a condition of dry hair. Dryness in hair looks dull and loses its shine. It becomes brittle and therefore breaks easily. It loses its natural sheen and elasticity.

An average human loses hair daily but someone having dryness condition will lose more than that. Dry hair also causes dandruff. The scalp and skin is unhealthy. The hair becomes frizzy and splits at the ends.

This problem can be linked to a thyroid problem. Hormonal changes in a person can cause hair to dry and fall. Also poor nutrition or an illness can be responsible. It may be genetic or caused by external factors like the weather. Exposure to sun for prolonged periods of time or harsh wind can cause the hair to dry out. Water used for washing hair may also cause the dryness. Apart from these primary reasons dryness may result out of excessive usage of chemicals on the hair. Perms, curlers, styling, using dryer may damage hair. Over shampooing also pulls out the moisture from the hair. Reversely unhygienic conditions or poor maintenance of hair can also make it dry and brittle. Chlorine in water affects hair. Some medications have strong effect on the hair.

Dry hair treatment does not just mean that it need more water; needs more oil to keep it moist. For healthy and shiny hair try one of the following home remedies -

1. Coconut Oil: Take coconut oil and apply to the scalp with your fingertips. Leave it on for some time before washing.

2. Olive Oil: Warm little olive oil and apply to your hair. Do this regularly.

3. Massage: Massage your scalp gently with any warm oil to increase the blood circulation which will promote hair growth and shine.

4. Vinegar: Vinegar acts like a conditioner. After cleaning your hair, wash it with water mixed with a little vinegar.

5. Beer: Beer is also considered as a good conditioner. Rinse your hair with beer.

6. Egg: Beat an egg and apply on your hair. Leave it on for some time before washing it off.

7. Curd: Curd can also be used to mask hair before washing.

8. Henna: Use henna for conditioning and for coloring hair instead of the colors with chemicals.

10. Lemon: Lemon juice is applied to hair. This keeps head clean.

11. Honey: Honey can be applied on it before wash.

If proper precautions are taken hair dryness and dullness can be dealt with easily using the above home remedies. Do not comb vigorously. Use a wide tooth comb for brushing your hair so that there is less breakage. Cover your hair during harsh weather. Wear a cap while swimming. Try to air dry hair as much as possible instead of using dryers. Avoid chemical treatments or styling. Use more of natural products on hair. Do not shampoo very often. Trim the split ends regularly. Four factors to Success in the Loss of Weight

A large number of diets that are supposed to help you lose weight inclusive of the FDA food pyramid, tell you to eat foods that have low fat content and fats that are healthy alone. Healthy fats that include extra virgin olive oil are beneficial to you, however there is no fault in taking a fat juicy steak, or a lot of cream with your cup of coffee or including butter that has been melted in your broccoli. However this does not go to say that you should eat just meat and fat. On the other hand, soy burgers, fat-free cool whip and non-dairy creamers happen to be among the worst things that you can feed your body and will increase your weight instead of helping you to lose weight.

Counting calories and low fat diets are not effective.

A large number of people hold the belief that a diet that has low calories is what you need to ensure that you lose weight and in the event that you regularly engage in exercise then you are allowed to have more calories. In the event that you also increase your metabolism, then it is okay for you to take more calories. This happens to be among the largest myth about how to lose weight that exists. How much food you take is not as important as what food you eat and this fact is increasingly becoming open despite the fact that it goes against the deep rooted common knowledge of how to lose weight.

You must increase your metabolism

Every individual has a certain metabolic type and the moment you are aware of yours, it will be possible for you to adjust your diet habits to enable your body to burn fat faster naturally and faster and thus lose weight. This does not go to say that stringent meal plans that require hours to come up with and stick to. It basically means being aware of the foods that you are required to avoid. You are required to prepare meals that will increase your levels of energy and still maintain your levels of blood sugar. This will prove very beneficial in helping you to lose weight.

Aim to burn fat not to store it

The bottom line is always whether your body is burning or storing fat. More preferred is the burning of fat.  What you eat has a direct effect on whether or not your body burns fat and thus whether or not you will lose weight. The moment your body is storing fat, everything else you take in your diet will be directed to the stored fat thus make it harder for you to lose weight.

Who is happy about being overweight or obese? The answer, at least in most modern households, is: no one. Being overweight is neither desirable nor healthy. So, a lot of people figure, 'since I want to lose 10 pounds fast, the faster I can do it, the better.' This is the thought process that gets people to turn to drastic 'crash' diets. Sometimes there are external motivations too, such as getting in shape for the beach holiday or wedding coming up in two weeks. Unfortunately, drastic weight reduction is not healthy at all, and crash diets are generally not even effective in the long run for health, though you may lose 10 pounds from your body.
What is a Crash Diet?

People wanting to lose 10 pounds fast generally think of going on a crash diet program. Essentially, a crash or quick-fix diet is any diet that is seriously restrictive in terms of what someone is permitted to eat and/or involves drastic fasting. Generally people use crash diets to achieve short-term weight loss goals. In fact, a lot of people go into these crash diets knowing very well that they are risking their health, and nowadays even the diet themselves come with health disclaimers, warning people against practicing them for more than a week or ten days. However, the truth is that an unhealthy diet is unhealthy in the short-term too, and is best avoided altogether. Here are some of the health problems associated with fast weight loss diets.

Slow Metabolism

If you want to lose 10 pounds fast, you must understand the relationship of metabolism rate and your body. When the body is put into starvation mode, it prepares itself for survival. What this means is that its functions and processes slow down, and it begins to store fat rather than burn it, to survive in the famine conditions. This slowing down of the metabolism can spell disaster for one's health, and when one returns to a normal diet, the body is not even able to burn a regular amount of calories. The result: all that excess weight quickly comes back, defeating the very purpose of losing weight fast.

Loss of Fluids and Not Fat

This will surprise many, but if you chose to lose 10 pounds fast through crash diet, a lot of the fast weight loss that happens during crash diets is a loss of fluids rather than accumulated fat. In other words, most of that excess fat is still right where it was!

Cravings and Depression

It is very common for people on crash diets to experience intense food cravings, a loss of concentration and even serious depression. Basically, it is not easy for the body or the mind to handle such a drastic shock, and your own physical mechanism tries to warn you with these alarm bells. One must understand that losing 10 pounds fast should become a cause of concern.

Losing Out on Vital Nutrients

When one goes on a severely restrictive diet in a bid to lose 10 pounds fast, such as a liquid-only diet or an extremely low-carbohydrate diet, the body loses out on some vital nutrients, which can cause serious health problems, including damage to the liver, kidney or heart.

A Strong Temptation

Nowadays, those who propagate crash diets are familiar with these risks, and this is why they recommend their diets only for a short period of period. But that doesn't change the fact that they are not healthy. In fact, crash diets are only surviving thanks to the people who cannot resist the temptation of losing those 10 pounds fast and overnight.
If you are one of those people who have declared 'I want to lose 10 pounds fast,' your best chance is to make sustainable and healthy lifestyle changes. Adopt a well-rounded, nutritious and wholesome diet and incorporate some exercise into your routine. This way your metabolism will get a spur, your health will improve and your weight loss will be steady and consistent. Six months down the line you will have reason to feel proud of yourself. Losing weight will be a sweet memory.

How To Lose Weight Using The Paleo Diet

As its name suggests, the Paleo Diet gets its inspiration from the Paleolithic era, when man survived as a hunter-gatherer. The diet, originated by Loren Cordain, health professor at the Colorado State University, is based on a radical line of thought. Professor Cordain argues that since the human genome has not evolved in the last 50,000 years or so, there is reason to believe that the most natural diet for man is what his caveman ancestors ate. In other words, for good health one should survive on fish, meats and eggs from grass-fed and naturally raised livestock, vegetables, roots, fruits and berries, nuts and seeds.

What Is The Paleo Diet
The foods omitted from this diet include every food item that was added on to the human diet after the advent of the agricultural age. These include dairy, grains, legumes, sugar, added salt, processed meats and all kinds of refined foods. Beyond specifying which foods are ‘in’ and which ones are ‘out’, the Paleo Diet does not impose severe restrictions on the proportions in which foods should be eaten, and what is best at what time of the day. After all, it is hard to imagine cavemen regulating such details of their diet!

While the rationale behind the Paleo Diet for weight loss has its fair share of doubters, it is hard to deny its health advantages. To begin with, by omitting sweets and refined foods and emphasizing on natural foods, it automatically ensures that one’s meals are not calorie-rich or nutrient-deficient. If you were dependent on calorie-rich processed foods before, you will invariably bring down your calorie consumption, improve your metabolism and even lose weight.

Benefits
The Paleo Diet is also rich in both fiber and proteins, which have excellent health benefits. To begin with, both these ingredients keep you feeling full and satisfied for longer, so you are less likely to overeat. Besides, proteins are what help retain and develop your muscle mass, which in turn keeps your metabolism going. The diet is also naturally low in carbohydrates. In fact, it only provides your body with the right kind of carbohydrates, and enough of them for an average person’s requirements. For people who want to lose a serious amount of weight with the Paleo Diet, it is recommended that they go slow on high-sugar fruits.

Problems With The Diet
The major criticism of this diet revolves around its inconvenience. First of all, naturally raised meats and eggs and natural oils are expensive, and a lot of people cannot afford them on a daily basis. Also, the diet is rather extreme and will make most people feel severely restricted and even stifled. Imagine giving up pasta, breads, rice, cereals, sausages, bacon, potatoes, dairy and cheese, legumes and beans, as well as juices, coolers and alcoholic beverages altogether. Rather than weight loss, the Paleo Diet is more likely to cause depression, withdrawal symptoms, uncontrolled binges and a lot of guilt.

It is more advisable to take a practical approach to this diet and limit your consumption of agricultural, dairy and refined food products, rather than trying to give them up completely. Also keep in mind that whole grains and dairy offer some vital nutrients to your body and are quite healthy in their own right. It is unfair to club them with refined foods, alcohol and sugar. At the end of the day, there is no doubt that the Paleo Diet can work for weight loss, but the question is can you handle the challenge of such an extreme diet?

Losing Weight With Zumba

People dance or people exercise. The former is done for creative satisfaction and the latter for weight loss and fitness. But what if you could combine the two, and get the best of both worlds? It may not sound like such a new idea, but with Zumba, the latest dance-exercise weight loss mantra catching on around the world, this combination becomes more fun and effective than ever before. Here are some details on how Zumba helps for  losing weight.

What Is It?
Zumba is the brainchild of Alberto Perez, an aerobics instructor, and it involves a combination of dance rhythms of varying intensities, all borrowed from different Latin dances. The music is also Latin, and the whole session involves intervals of fast paced, vigorous dancing, punctuated by spells of slower and more relaxed movements. A typical session is an hour long, and the music tracks play non-stop, which means that there is no period of complete rest. In other words, your body burns a serious amount of calories every second of that one hour!

How Many Calories Does Zumba Burn?
The calorie count expended by Zumba is the most impressive part for weight loss aspirants. An hour of Zumba can burn anywhere between 500 to 850 calories, depending on your body weight and fitness levels. For example, a 150-lb person is expected to burn about 535 calories during an hour of Zumba. Compare this to moderate swimming, which for the same person would burn less than 420 calories an hour, racquetball at under 500 calories an hour, and jogging at 680 calories an hour. In other words, Zumba is great for weight loss!

How Popular and Genuine Is Zumba For Weight Loss?
Zumba may appear quite spontaneous, but it is anything but random. Ever since it was created in 2001, this dance-exercise routine has spread to over 110 countries, and 10 million people. The instructors are all fully trained, and there is a full-fledged Zumba academy in the US, where they are required to get a license. Besides, there are different kinds of sessions, customized for people with different levels of fitness and dancing skills. So, whether you are a beginner or someone who is already quite fit and a competent dancer, you can gain a lot from a Zumba class.

By bringing in intense spells of dance-exercise and periods of light movement, Zumba incorporates the principles of interval training. This is known to burn more calories than single-paced exercise, dancing or aerobics, and accelerate fitness levels faster. Indeed, with Zumba, you will not only burn calories, but also tone your muscles, boost your metabolic rate and improve your flexibility.

While Zumba is great for weight loss, it is also a lot of fun. One great plus point is that during your hour, you don’t feel like you are grinding out an exercise. This helps you stay motivated and interested. In fact, the Zumba Academy advertises some cases of people who lost up to 100-lb, with Zumba as their only cardiovascular exercise. So, do check out your neighborhood class. Zumba might just be the kind of weight loss workout you were looking for!

Stop Your Addiction to Drugs or Alcohol with Laser Therapy

Yes, You Can Stop Your Addiction to Drugs or Alcohol - with Laser Therapy

Question - "How did you become addicted?"

Answer - "I don't know. I never thought that I'd be addicted. When I first started, I only used on the weekend with my buddies just to relax and get 'a high.' I liked the feeling but after a couple of years I was using almost every day. When I tried to quit, the cravings and withdrawal were so bad, that I had to start again. I want to stop but I can't.
I need help."

Whenever you use drugs or alcohol it stimulates the pituitary gland (behind your nose) to release endorphins. Endorphins are the same chemicals that are released after you exercise or have a good belly laugh. They make you relax and 'feel-good'.

When you first started to use drugs or alcohol, you only needed a small amount. Then gradually over the years, your brain was screaming for it more often to get the same 'high'. And now you are physically and emotionally addicted to it.

If you need help to stop using any street or prescription drugs, including cocaine, heroin, morphine, crystal meth, oxycontin, percocet or if you are an alcoholic, laser therapy is a simple, easy yet highly effective treatment to stop any addiction.

There are three parts to any addiction - the physical, the psychological and the detox:

Laser therapy is a comprehensive treatment that deals with all three parts of the addiction:

1) The Physical Dependency

You need help to stop the physical cravings and withdrawal symptoms - the restlessness, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, depression, nausea, pain, tremors and the fear of having convulsions.

Laser therapy includes a series of relaxing one-hour laser treatments in a professional outpatient clinic. After each treatment you have a feeling of well being and can return home or to work. You are safe to drive. If you feel drowsy, you just need to stop the car and get some fresh air. Within a few treatments the cravings and withdrawal are almost eliminated. Meanwhile, you feel good. You are in control.

2) The Psychological "Mind Games"

You need help to get the abusive drugs or alcohol off your mind. You also need help to change your habits and make positive life style changes.

Each private laser therapy treatment includes an in depth consultation. You learn how to get rid of the negative thoughts, triggers and habits and how to cope with the stress of every day life without drugs or alcohol. Printed information, a CD and on-going support will help you to stay in control.

3) Detoxification

You need to get rid of the abusive substance from your system.

Laser therapy includes natural supplements to detoxify your body. After your body is completely cleansed of the toxic chemicals, the physical withdrawal is over. And, by that time, you've already been practising how to deal with the 'mind games.'
